Adventures in My Father’s World

This is the title of our new homeschool curriculum and boy do we ever love it!!  We are learning so many things about the Vikings, Jamestown, Pocahontas, Captain John Smith, and the Pilgrims… along with doing many fun science experiments and lots of crafts.  Today, we finished reading a book called “Squanto, Friend of the Pilgrims” and then made little mini tepees.  Later this afternoon, we’re making a quick trip across the street to the Dollar Store to pick up a bow and arrow set that comes with a little plastic dagger – then we will come home and make our own life-sized teepee (a fort of somesort made out of blankets and sticks) and we will hunt for buffalo.

About Anna

I've been married to my college sweetheart for 17 years and we've been in full or part time ministry ever since. I am a stay at home mom who homeschools our oldest son (11) while our youngest son (9) attends public school. Having adopted both our kids, we are big fans of adoption. My oldest has Asperger's Syndrome and my youngest has been diagnosed with a mood disorder, possibly bi-polar. I also have two long-haired dachshunds that I adore - Eli and Graham. I enjoy camping, watching movies, listening to and singing all types of music, and just spending time together with my precious family.
