I have had the privilege of singing in a community choir (Consonare Chorale) since January of this year. I haven’t been in a choir since college and so it’s felt really good to be singing again. With two little kids, home-schooling, ministry responsibilities, and even moving from Texas to Oregon, until recently I haven’t even had the time to take one night away for a choir practice. Scott has been so great in supporting me with this – watching the kids and clearing his already very busy schedule so that I could participate in a choir. My first concert was in March and it was “A Tribute to the Classics” – a music style that I was very familiar with! And then in May, my second concert was “An Evening at the Pops”, and it was jazz! I have always wanted to sing jazz – never did it at UNT because I was working part time and already required to be in the classical choir for my degree. Anyhow, the choir is on hiatus for the summer and I’m already missing it!! Here is a photo of me taken right before the jazz concert. ![]()
