Today was the first day of school!! Jaden is now in the 3rd grade and Jonah is in 1st. We started a new curriculum this year called My Father’s World. So far, I have been very impressed with it. And for me the true test has been that for the first time ever Jonah actually liked doing his schoolwork! Yea!
Photos of the boys right before starting school. They picked out their outfits…

About Anna
I've been married to my college sweetheart for 17 years and we've been in full or part time ministry ever since. I am a stay at home mom who homeschools our oldest son (11) while our youngest son (9) attends public school. Having adopted both our kids, we are big fans of adoption. My oldest has Asperger's Syndrome and my youngest has been diagnosed with a mood disorder, possibly bi-polar. I also have two long-haired dachshunds that I adore - Eli and Graham. I enjoy camping, watching movies, listening to and singing all types of music, and just spending time together with my precious family.
How fun! Yeah for My Father’s World, it’s the best!! We are using MFW 1st grade this year and I am super excited! If it’s anything like the kinder one, it’ll be great! Tomorrow Geneva has her first day at her one day school for homeschoolers. She is so excited. She will take music, art, Spanish, speech, and P.E. Pretty cool. We’ll see how it goes.
Such handsome boys. Wish I could give them each a big hug.
Anna dear … I can hardly believe the boys when I look at them. They are so grown up, and look terrific. I am glad that all seems to be well with you.
HI,
I’ll hopefully meet you at Friday School, which is how I stumbled on your blog. I’m teaching the 2′s class so I may not meet you… but I have a first grad boy so I may. Anyway, I’ve been thinking about MFW for next year so I’ll be checking here to see how it turns out. I’m curious which year or theme you are using. I have two boys two years apart and the one about hiding places looks like so much fun. Also I saw you have a comment from Mamaw, we too have a Mamaw. We are not from the South, it’s just what my first born pronounced and he never changed it.
Blessings,
Briana
