This week, I have the privilege of spending 5 days with my dear friend, Martha. She is in Houston, TX, at MD Anderson Hospital undergoing a bone marrow transplant. I’ve known her for almost 14 years (which is crazy because we’re not that old!). Back when Scott and I did college ministry, Martha and her boyfriend (now husband), David, came to our little Super Bowl party and we’ve been good friends ever since! One of the hardest things about not living in Texas anymore is being so far away from them. Anyhow, Scott has been watching the boys back home so I can get some precious girl time with Martha!! She’s doing great with all of her treatment and tomorrow is the big day… the transplant. I’ve been amazed at her outlook on everything, her laughter and energy through it all. It’s going really well so far, but we know that she’s about to be really sick. So, please keep her in your prayers and I’ll let you know how it goes!
