I have never had much of a green thumb. Most of the houseplants that I’ve attempted to keep have died and I have no idea why. But this year, I am determined that I will have a thriving vegetable garden out back. After researching for several years (really – it’s been at least 2 years!), I have started a Square Foot Garden in our back yard. So far, so good! The lettuce, carrots and onions and doing great and today I transplanted tomatoes, red peppers, chili peppers, herbs, marigolds and pumpkins from my kitchen windowsill into the garden. And I am so excited at the mere possibility of being able to go out back and gather some tasty, organic vegetables for dinner. I love it!
