Birthday Bonanza

Last weekend was the boy’s joint birthday party. Thanks to the Andersons, we were able to hold the festivities at the Skate warehouse and it was a huge success!! Eleven of the boy’s friends showed up bearing lots of great gifts (I wasn’t expecting so many cool gifts – thanks everyone!) and either their skateboard or scooter. The theme was Mario Bros… and in case you didn’t know, it’s near impossible to find anything with that theme. There are plenty of superhero, camouflage, princess, bugs, etc. party supplies available. But no Mario. So, I had to be creative! I found some little plastic figures on ebay and used those as cake decorations and party favors. I bought some bright red, green and blue plate and napkins and used some clip art from off of the computer to decorate both the party invitations and favor bags. Fun times!!
