Jonah is now 6 years old, and boy did he ever have a fun time celebrating today. Instead of having a kid’s party this year, he was able to choose what he ate for every meal (with some guidance!) and what he did with his time all day long. I am so thankful to have him for a son – God has been so good to us. We love you, Jonah, and we’re so proud of you. May you continue to grow in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and men.
Here is a photo-log of his special day. And for those of you who might be wondering, he is wearing soccer shoes and a soccer pajama top because one of his presents was that he will be playing on his first soccer team this spring…and he was so excited that he had to wear a Jonah-made uniform!
He chose to eat homemade coffee cake with apple juice for breakfast…ie sugar!
Then, he and Jaden played Play Station for about an hour.
Momma joined him for a couple games of Stratego.
Then my parents and a bunch of friends from church surprised Jonah at one of his favorite restaurants for lunch. He had a great time and especially liked the cool hat that the restaurant gave him.
Later that afternoon, we opened presents and ate cake. Throughout the afternoon and evening, several friends stopped by with birthday hugs and gifts. He played with modeling clay, a steam-shooting gun, and bubbles.

Hugs from the Mitchell’s, Jonah!
Wow, what fun. Wish we could have been there.
Love,
Grandpa
Grandpa and I wish we could have been there to give him a great big birthday hug. We love you Jonah–our Little Buster.
What a wonderful way to spend your sixth birthday! We love you, Jonah.
What a fun day! I’m glad he got to do what he wanted for his birthday. We always got to choose our favorite meal. Since Mother hated hamburgers back when we were growing up that’s what Karen and I always chose! What a treat
How did he grow up so fast?
