Here are pictures from the transplant. Martha is doing great!! I really like the staff here at MD Anderson – everyone has been so nice.
- Martha’s Nurse Practioner holding the first bag of stem cells
- Setting everything up…
- Taking vitals and checking on the drip rate
It’s hard to believe that I’ve already been here for almost 5 days! My time with Martha has been precious, and I am so thankful for every minute of it. Tomorrow morning, I get to drive to Temple to spend some time with Scott’s family and then I drive to Kerrville to spend some time with our dear friends, the Mitchells. I’ll also get to see my friend, Imelda, in San Antonio, before heading back to Houston to catch my flight back home. Lots of driving all over Texas and time with lots of people! Hopefully I can sleep on the plane on the way back to Portland!!

Thanks so much for taking pictures, Anna! I can’t believe Geneva’s very first day of school was on the same day as the transplant, but I’m glad I got to be here with her as you kept Martha surrounded with love
David, I am Scott’s Aunt Kathy. Martha, and your entire family, have been in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you all.

Anna, it was so wonderful seeing you! I wish it had not been under such difficult circumstances.
